Happy Birthday Hannah Grace!

My baby sister arrived on Sunday May 2, 2010 at 2:53 pm! She is perfect! Her name is Hannah Grace and her stats are:
Birth weight: 5 pounds 13 ounces
Birth height: 19 1/2 inches long
Nana was staying with us and mommy woke up early in the morning and thought her water broke (I guess that is a bag of water that is around the baby in the tummy) so her and daddy went to the hospital. It did in fact break and so mommy was had to stay there. When I woke up, I came downstairs and Nana told me that my baby sister was going to be born today and my eyes got really big and I told her I wasn't ready cause I needed to practice changing diapers more. Home Stretch!

Well everyone, we are in the home stretch. 29 days and counting! That means that I am almost done with school for the summer and will be a 2nd grader in the fall. So many changes. We still have a bit to do before my baby sister arrives, including getting the crib together, baby registering, cleaning and putting away clothes, and maybe we should take the carseat and stroller out of the box and get that ready too! I can't wait to be a big sister, but also a bit nervous. I told mommy that I don't know how well I will change diapers and she reassured me that I will be the diaper runner, that my sister will be fragile when she is born. I get to go to a Big Helper class at the clinic May 10th and they will inform us big siblings how we can be a big help. I am pretty excited! That is all I have for now. Mommy is thinking about having maternity pictures done and if she does we will post some! Otherwise I will get a belly picture to post! Until next time,

If roses grow in Heaven Lord Please pick a bunch for us. Place them in my Great Grandma's arms and tell her they're from us. Tell her We love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, We do it everyday, But there is an ache within our hearts that will never go away.

Great Grandma LaVerne passed away 3 years ago today. We miss her dearly, will never forget her, and always love her. Bless her as she takes care of God's garden.

In February I went to the MSUM Cheer Camp again. I love it so much. We spend a few hours of the day practicing and playing games and then perform for everyone at half time of a basketball game. I can't wait until next year and maybe Lucie will be able to come with!

7th Birthday Party

Here are some pictures from my 7th birthday party! It turned out to be a great success with a few injuries and one friend leaving cause he didn't feel well. Lucie, Sam, Devin, Madison, Keyana, Hailey O., Brody, and Uncle Scott (with Sam) came swimming. Nana, Papa, Auntie Alicia, Uncle Aaron were also there but did not swim. I got sent home from school with a 101.4 temp yesterday and my party was suppose to be this afternoon. Mommy changed it until next week, as my temp kept crawling up. I was upset at first, but I don't think I would be able to enjoy my party and I don't want to get my friends sick. So I am still waiting to have my party! :(

My mommy is at 22 weeks today. This morning we were laying in bed watching TV and mommy put my hand on her tummy and I could feel my baby sister kicking! It was so cool! :o) The camera battery is charging and then we will take a 22 week picture to post.
One week from today is my birthday party and I can hardly wait. I sure hope my friends show up, since no one has called or emailed my mommy to let her know.
It is storming here, so we are staying in and mommy is hoping to get organizing done! LOL

Mommy's tummy is growing and we have now reached the half way mark to meeting my baby sister! 20 more weeks seems like a long wait, but mommy said hopefully it will go by fast!
Also, it is my birthday in 18 days! I am going to be 7 years old. I am having a few friends from school and some cousins come swimming with me at a hotel. I am very excited!

Mommy had her ultrasound today and called to tell me (cause I am at Nana and Papa's) I am having a baby sister! I said "but I wanted a baby brother", however I was very excited when we went to Nana's work to tell her! Mommy sent me these pictures. She said my baby sister weighs about 8 ounces and is measuring right on! They are hard to make out, but it is what we can do without a scanner!

We had our annual Christmas party with Nick, Amanda, and Bella. Sadly, MaryAnn was not feeling well, so her and Ron did not make it. Mommy and I had a great time. We ate pizza, opened presents, and watched My Little Pony. Thanks for a great time!

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming and I am getting so very excited! Mommy still has to get shopping done, but she said not to worry it will get done. My wish list is a Barbie Camper, some new bedding, and the newest Hannah Montana CD.
My mommy's tummy is still growing. I like to take pictures of her tummy and maybe she will let me post one soon! She has her ultrasound appointment on December 28th and hopefully I will find out if I am going to have a baby brother or sister. I want a baby sister, but a brother will do. Make sure you go to expectnet.com and make your guesses before mommy stops it and I announce what we will be having!
I will be spending my annual week after Christmas with Nana and Papa. Papa has the entire week off, so I am going to wear him right out! :) He is going to take me sledding and keep me very busy, I am sure.
Mommy and I will be leaving Wednesday sometime, while daddy will come Thursday after he gets off work at noon. He sadly has to work the day after Christmas too, so he will only be able to stay 1 night at Nana and Papa's.
Hopefully I can convince mommy to post a belly picture, so until then...Merry Christmas to all my blogger friends and save travels to those who will be on the roads.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! I got to play with Lucie and Sam almost the entire day. Papa and I started it off by going to have breakfast together while mommy and nana prepared the turkey for cooking. Daddy had to work until 4:30, so we had a nice supper at Auntie Alicia and Uncle Scott's house. We had a pretty full house with Nana, Papa, Uncle Aaron, Grandma Lucille, Larry, my mommy and daddy, Lucie, Sam, and their mommy and daddy! It was a wonderful day! Here is a picture from the day.

Summer coming to an end!

Hello All! It has been awhile and at this time I have no pictures to post, just wanted to update you. Can you believe summer came and is almost done?! Doesn't even seem like we had much summer. We seemed to be on the go alot though. This is a busy week for me and my family. I start school on Wednesday. I am gonna be a 1st grader and so very excited!
Thursday is mommy's last night for her core classes for her degree (whatever that means) and then she will be taking liberal classes to fill credits. This college stuff seems so confusing, but mommy has her mind set on trying to complete over 100 credits my May 2010! I sure hope she can do it!
Friday I get to leave school early and head to Nana and Papa's for the weekend. We have Brett and Jenny's wedding (can't wait) and I get to dress like a princess for a day and be a flowergirl. Lucie is gonna be joining me and our cousin Carter is the ringbearer. I keep telling mommy I will have to show Lucie how to drop the flower petals as we walk. Mommy just laughs at me (am I crazy or something). Well, after this crazy week I will try getting pics posted of the first day of 1st grade and Brett and Jenny's wedding! Maybe sneak a pic on mommy for getting this far in college!

What a busy summer we have had! Here are some random pictures of what has been going on. A friend of mommy's, Alecia, got married. Her mom runs the daycare I go to when I am not in school! We went to a Chale family reunion picnic in West Fargo. It was a good time! I have tons of pictures from the 4th of July weekend up at the lake that I will post also. I will be going to spend my summer week (a bit longer this year) with Nana and Papa in less than 2 weeks! I can hardly wait, just ask my mom. Mommy is going to WeFest and Daddy to Arizona(to see Uncle Carl). Then I start 1st Grade on August 26th. Mommy gets done with her core classes for her bachelors degree August 27th, she will then just have generals to complete! Yeah mommy. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Hey are some random pictures mommy took of my BFF, Keyana, and I at the park. We saw some ducks in the road and were "quacking" and them. Then we did some stunts on the swings and ran around the park. It has been great to get outside and play at "my park". It is a little city park right out our backyard gate. I think it was the best reason for buying this house (mommy and daddy may disagree!) as well as meeting Keyana! Enjoy

A weekend of Firsts! (Memorial Day Weekend)

We headed to Nana and Papa's for the weekend to attend graduation. Mommy, Jamie (mommy's friend from school) and I drove to Pembina on Friday after work and school. Saturday I got to do a lot of firsts! I got to ride a motorcycle with Papa. I went on at least 8 rides before we left the next day! Thanks for all the wonderful rides Papa! Mommy ran into an old friend from back home, Dusty and Desirae, and they invited mommy to bring me to their place to check out some chickens and ride a horse for the first time. I LOVED it. That little girl feeding chickens with me and on the horse is Sophie. It was a great weekend! Can't wait to go back and do some more motorcycle and horse riding!

Flooding

Here in the Fargo Moorhead area and beyond, we are having some major flooding! Our house is in the dry zone if anything where to happen, however there are many people in danger. A new adventure

Today mommy and I started a new adventure! Ice skating! :O) Mommy was a great skater when she was little and was nervous at first, but got used to it. She said something about "just like riding a bike, you never forget". We had a great time and go every Tuesday evening. I held onto mommy for about 15-20 minutes and then adventured off on my own. I am now a pro at getting up! I sure to like skating.

Buffalo State Park

Today mommy and I went to Buffalo State Park, about 15 minutes from home. Auntie, Scottie, Lucie, Sam, and some of their friends ended up coming and so we all got to swim together. It is along the Buffalo River in Minnesota, and is a man made swimming area that is clorinated just like a beach. I love Buffalo State Park.

Sam's Baptism

Sam got baptised today and after the baptism we got to visit and eat some delicious food. Uncle Aaron and Uncle Scott's sister Jenny are the godparents. Sam wore the baptism gown that mommy, auntie, Lucie and I wore. Father Fischer, who married my mommy and daddy and baptised Lucie, baptised Sam. It was great to see him again. Here are a few different slideshows. To start off the summer we had Uncle Aaron's graduation. I love my Uncle Aaron! We went to the lake for 4th of July, however mommy for got the camera so check out Lucie's blog. Uncle Aaron came and spent the night at my house and we went to play mini golf. Mommy beat everyone, however Uncle Aaron only beat me by 1! HEHE We just had cousin Justine's wedding. There are some pictures of dancing and the next day I got to swim with Nana and Papa's neighboor girl and slide on the big slide. There are some other misc fun days we had, but so many I can't even remember. Enjoy the photos!

Today at 2:19pm Aunite Alicia and Uncle Scottie welcome Samuel Douglas into the world. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. He is spectacular! Here are a couple pictures and if you want more wait a couple days and check out Lucie's blog!

Where's the warmth?

It snowed here AGAIN last night. It is really wet and heavy, but melting slowly cause it is close to 40 degrees. Here are some pictures of our backyard. Mommy had started getting our patio furniture out last weekend and that is my little swing full of snow! This better be the last time mother nature plays this evil little trick on us!

Hello everyone. I have been sick since Friday and now mommy and daddy are sick also. It has been a long few days with lots of sleep and drinks! Today I went to the Shrine Circus with mommy, Keyana, Amy (her mom), Olivia (her cousin) and Greta (Olivia's mom). We had a great time. We got to ride an elephant and it was FUN! This is what we woke up to this morning! It was crazy and just didn't want to stop. Amanda and Andy left after lunch and said it was icky until about Grandin. We must have been on the edge of the system. I hope this is the last of it as I want summer to come sooooo badly!

Rock Band

Amanda and Andy (my cousins) came down for the night and we played some Wii. Then Alicia, Scott, Lucie, Mommy, Daddy, Amanda, Andy and I went out for supper to Ruby Tuesdays and came back to my house relaxed a bit and then to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream. It was so yummy. After that Alicia, Scott and Lucie went home and the rest of us went back and played rock band. Here are some pictures of me drummin' and Andy also. We went to church the next morning and then they headed home. We had a great time, come back soon. Love ya!

Today after my mommy came to daycare and picked up my very good friend Hailey O. and myself. How great is that, 2 Haileys to look after. We played in my bedroom, in the living room and blew bubbles in the kitchen. She stayed over for supper and then we went to her house and played for a bit longer. We had a blast. I might go to her house next weekend. I am so excited!

Hey everyone! It's Ashley. I got this email today and thought it was so funny. I can hear my parents and people who know me saying "this is something Ashley would've done" and I could see Hailey doing it also. Just read and laugh!!! LOL Here it is ~

Why parents drink

The boss wondered why one of his most valued employee had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.

"Hello?"

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.

"Yes," whispered the small voice

"May I talk with him?"

The child whispered, "No."

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"Yes."

"May I talk with her?"

Again the small voice whispered, "No."

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman ," came the whispered answer.

Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"

"A helicopter" answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.

Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed a helicopter."

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...

"ME."

Okay I know you your laughing hard! How cute is that!

Sick :(

Well, today mommy had to come get me at daycare and take me to the doctor. My throat was hurting and somebody else at daycare had been sick with strep throat, so the doctor took a swab of my throat and the test came back positive so I am on medicine and have to stay home for 24 hours from daycare. Mommy got off from work to stay home with me and then back to daycare on Friday. I am glad my throat is starting to feel better so I can eat more.
